Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs went off the board in a big way for Alex Mastromanno, 88 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. It is not that Mastromanno is a bad player; it is that the Chiefs had louder needs to answer first.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
