Nobody had Ethan Downs this high, and it is not close. The Bengals reached 129 spots to get him at Round 5, Pick 15. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

Bryant falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Gillotte pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
