Bryant should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Cobee Bryant at the Round 7 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They are betting Shough proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the 21st pick they get an anchor for the defensive front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick83 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
No drama and no debate, Donovan Jackson went about where he belonged in slot 83. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick123 Rnd4 Tyler Shough
A reach for Tyler Shough in Round 4, Pick 21; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick162 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They jumped the gun on Dont'e Thornton Jr., taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick185 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
The board fumbled Ollie Gordon II all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
Pick229 Rnd7 Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at pick 229 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick245 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
By-the-book stuff, Cody Lindenberg at the 245th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
