The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Wyatt Milum, the No. 36 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 1 like a gift left on the doorstep.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
