The Browns cashed the board's mistake on Slaughter: B+.

Call it larceny. Jake Slaughter sat on the board until the 69th overall pick, and the Browns did not need to be asked twice.

They will need Campbell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Jaylen Waddle gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
