Grand theft in the Round 3 slot: the Patriots steal Henderson and grade out a A-.

The Patriots ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

However the rest shakes out, Henderson at that price is a win they earned. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Adding Josh Downs by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
