Somebody took the Browns to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Solomon pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end still on the board. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

They are betting Murphy proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Abrams-Draine falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left tight end open, and the grade is the bill.
