The Bengals let Newton fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jer'Zhan Newton tumbling to the Bengals in the Round 3 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
