The Steelers finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D+.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Jamaree Caldwell; the Steelers did not wait, grabbing him 66 spots ahead at the 223rd pick.

The Carter value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They have staked the next five years on Jalen Milroe, which is the only story that really matters here.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
