Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Buccaneers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

If Gentry pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Getting Linton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end it comes back to Jer'Zhan Newton, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
