The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Nugent has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That Bullard pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Bottom line, with J.J. McCarthy leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
