The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Penix Jr.: B+. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Michael Penix Jr. is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Gore Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Stackhouse at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
