There is conviction, and then there is this. The Giants took R.J. Oben a full 120 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Landing Moore that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
