The Giants let Gore Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Giants were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

The Gore Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
