Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Cam Skattebo, the No. 114 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 218.

They will need Ewers to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
