The Anthony Belton selection is the head-turner. The Giants reached 111 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The Majors value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
