The needs board said one thing and the Dolphins did another, using slot 88 on Peter Clarke while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots waited. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Hurst pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The cost of the Goosby reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

So much rides on Trevor Goosby that the real verdict is a season or two away.
