FutureA+
The Eagles robbed the room for Fortune. Final grade: D+. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Eagles shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Fortune pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick64
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Harold Fannin Jr. at pick 64. It fills a real need, too.
Pick69
Rnd3
Xavier Watts
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Watts at slot 69 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick77
Rnd3
Jack Bech
The board had Jack Bech higher than No. 77, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick96
Rnd3
Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger is a better player than the Round 3 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick105
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Savion Williams in pick No. 105 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick124
Rnd4
Jaylin Noel
Somehow Jaylin Noel was still sitting there in the 124th overall pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick129
Rnd4
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at pick No. 129 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick162
Rnd5
O'Donnell Fortune
The board fumbled O'Donnell Fortune all the way to pick 162, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick169
Rnd5
Cody Simon
Cody Simon in the 169th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick177
Rnd5
Chase Lundt
They read the board right and Chase Lundt was the payoff at the 177th overall pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick201
Rnd6
Quincy Riley
A cornerback of that caliber at slot 201 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick215
Rnd6
Upton Stout
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Upton Stout in No. 215, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick253
Rnd7
Brant Kuithe
Brant Kuithe at the Round 7 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
