The Patriots drew a line under the quarterback search with Maye: D.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent the Round 7 slot on Austin Stogner, a name most had 120 spots down the list.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Drake Maye gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
