The Texans let Singleton fall and pounced. Final grade: F. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Texans watched Nicholas Singleton slide 135 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.
Reaching for McCord left real value on the table behind him. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers. The Texans clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
