Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

FutureA+
The Steelers bled value on every deal, hence the D+. Somebody took the Steelers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Freeling lower, and that gap is the story.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick53
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Nothing to complain about; Dillon Thieneman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick76
Rnd3
Daylen Everette
The board had Daylen Everette higher than the 76th overall pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick104
Rnd4
Monroe Freeling
A reach on Monroe Freeling in the 104th pick; the board had better options right there. A minor itch, scratched.
