Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Packers shredded theirs for Ryan Flournoy. He came off 34 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. It is not that Taylor-Demerson is a bad player; it is that the Packers had louder needs to answer first. Getting Braswell where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Tyler Nubin
Tyler Nubin at No. 41 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick58 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell in slot 58 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick88 Rnd3 Trey Benson
The board had cheaper options than Trey Benson at the 88th overall pick, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick89 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
They let Cooper Beebe come to them and pounced at pick 89. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Dadrion Taylor-Demerson at safety with quarterback, tight end and other spots open.
Pick127 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
They took Cedric Gray at par in the 127th pick, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick168 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
Nice patience on Malik Mustapha, who had no business lasting to pick No. 168. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick204 Rnd6 Tanor Bortolini
A reach for Tanor Bortolini in the 204th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick216 Rnd6 Garret Greenfield
No edge and no loss on Garret Greenfield in Round 6, Pick 41; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick243 Rnd7 Edefuan Ulofoshio
They paid sticker price for Edefuan Ulofoshio in the Round 7 slot, and that is fine. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick244 Rnd7 Evan Williams
No drama and no debate, Evan Williams went about where he belonged in slot 244. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick251 Rnd7 Ryan Flournoy
Ryan Flournoy in No. 251 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
