The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

On value alone, Williams makes the weekend a net positive. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
