You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Giants did exactly that with Shemar Turner in slot 103.

They banked enough surplus on Roberts to cover a lot of smaller sins. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
