Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueA NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills won the night they stopped Cornelius from sliding. Grade: B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bills watched Ajani Cornelius slide 156 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Isaiah Bond
In No. 25 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick59 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
You do not let a running back like Ashton Jeanty reach Round 2, Pick 27 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
Pick64 Rnd2 Xavier Restrepo
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Xavier Restrepo in the Round 2 slot, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick90 Rnd3 Tre Harris
They will replay Tre Harris at pick 90 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick119 Rnd4 Jordan Hancock
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 119 is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick126 Rnd4 Wyatt Milum
They barely believed it either: Wyatt Milum still on the board at the 126th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick137 Rnd4 Jahdae Barron
Jahdae Barron at slot 137 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick173 Rnd5 Walter Nolen
Walter Nolen in the 173rd pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick182 Rnd6 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild in pick 182 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick201 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius at the Round 6 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
