A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The 49ers did exactly that with Braylan Shelby in No. 140. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

In pick 26 they get a building block for the line, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.

Connor Lew in Round 2, Pick 25 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

They paid up for Xavier Chaplin at No. 91 when waiting would have done the job. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

A wild overpay on Ar'maj Reed-Adams in pick No. 126, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick134 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
Parker Brailsford at the 134th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
