Draft Grade — Colts
Overall D-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Colts cashed the board's mistake on Robertson: D-.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Colts, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

Inniss has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On value alone, Robertson makes the weekend a net positive.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick39 Rnd2 Romello Height
A wild overpay on Romello Height in the 39th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick49 Rnd2 Elijah Sarratt
No drama and no debate, Elijah Sarratt went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 17. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson at the 82nd overall pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick105 Rnd4 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington in pick No. 105 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick158 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
A conviction pick on Davison Igbinosun at No. 158 that the board grades a round light. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick215 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Trey Zuhn III well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick233 Rnd7 Brandon Inniss
Brandon Inniss at the Round 7 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
Circle this one: Sawyer Robertson at slot 250 is a fall that decides a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
