You could see the war room lean forward. Jay Higgins at the 187th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The Alexander reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
