The Colts did not so much draft Kaden Prather as overpay for him, 35 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Emmanwori at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
