Grand theft in No. 42: the Bears steal Nubin and grade out a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Tyler Nubin, the No. 21 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 42. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

With interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need McLaughlin to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
