There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Colts started one anyway for Brant Kuithe, 66 picks ahead of schedule.

Nwankpa at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

The Jackson pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback and interior defensive lineman. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
