The Kyle McCord pick is the one that will follow the Colts into the fall. They took him 95 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Fannin Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. With wide receiver, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
