You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Colts did exactly that with Damien Martinez in pick 189.

The Winston Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still on the board. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Booker pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
