The search is over. The Vikings handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Driskell. They are betting McCarthy proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Melton pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with safety, tight end and other spots still on the board.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
