Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Colts spent the 82nd pick on Kris Abrams-Draine, a name the board had a full 37 spots lower. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That Bullard pick is the receipt they will wave around later. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

The veteran additions, Danielle Hunter chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In the end it comes back to Xavier Worthy, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
