The phones sank the Colts this weekend: D+.

Nobody else had Devin Culp anywhere near slot 234. The Colts did, by 70 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Getting Isaac where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In the 15th overall pick they get an island corner at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick16 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In pick 16 they get a cornerstone up front, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Xavier Legette
Xavier Legette slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Adisa Isaac
Circle this one: Adisa Isaac at pick No. 82 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick117 Rnd4 Beau Brade
The board had cheaper options than Beau Brade at the 117th pick, and it noticed. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick191 Rnd6 Jordan Jefferson
Jordan Jefferson at slot 191 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The roster fit checks out.
Pick234 Rnd7 Devin Culp
Devin Culp at slot 234 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
