Draft Grade — Colts
Overall

FutureB-
Grand theft in the 235th overall pick: the Colts steal Barrett and grade out a B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Michael Barrett, the No. 196 name on the board, stolen at No. 235. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will need Harrell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick46
Rnd2
T.J. Tampa
A clean, defensible pick in slot 46 with a little surplus value in T.J. Tampa. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick82
Rnd3
Tykee Smith
They reached a country mile for Tykee Smith at the 82nd overall pick, and the board is aghast. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick117
Rnd4
Donovan Jackson
They paid up for Donovan Jackson at pick No. 117 when waiting would have done the job. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick153
Rnd5
LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson at the Round 5 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick193
Rnd6
Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell in Round 6, Pick 18 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick235
Rnd7
Michael Barrett
They robbed the room for Michael Barrett here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
