Of all the ways to open, the Colts chose the head-scratcher, spending pick 117 on James Williams with quarterback, running back and other spots still wide open. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Hart at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

If Williams pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
