For all the boxes ticked, the Colts skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They are betting Nugent proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
