Gbizz DRAFTING FOR THEJets
Draft Grade — Jets
Overall

The Jets found their guy under center in Simpson: B. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Jets spent their marquee pick on Ty Simpson, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Ty Simpson
In the 4th pick they get the arm they will build around. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick18
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In slot 18 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35
Rnd2
R Mason Thomas
A tidy little value on R Mason Thomas in Round 2, Pick 3, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick45
Rnd2
Romello Height
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Romello Height. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
