Draft Grade — Saints

FutureA+
The Saints robbed the room for Emmanwori. Final grade: B+. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Saints were there to profit. Nick Emmanwori, the No. 19 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 40. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Durham Smythe gives the group a proven body among the projects. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around. A real need, handled.
Pick40
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
You do not let a safety like Nick Emmanwori reach slot 40 and blink. They did not. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
