Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
D

FutureC+
The Falcons robbed the room for Bech. Final grade: D. Somebody in pick No. 163 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Falcons sat still while Jack Bech, the No. 94 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
The Falcons paired the rookies with proven help, Myles Garrett leading the way. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Mason Graham
Mason Graham at pick 24 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick55
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
The board had Jihaad Campbell higher than the 55th pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick86
Rnd3
Gunnar Helm
They read the board right and Gunnar Helm was the payoff at the Round 3 slot. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick97
Rnd3
Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius in the 97th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick116
Rnd4
Daylen Everette
Daylen Everette at slot 116 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick138
Rnd5
Sebastian Castro
Sebastian Castro in pick No. 138 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick163
Rnd5
Jack Bech
The board fumbled Jack Bech all the way to No. 163, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
