Draft Grade — Bengals
Overall B-

Best value of the weekend goes to the Bengals for Warren: B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Tyler Warren at the Round 2 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick49 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Warren at Round 2, Pick 17 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
A slide stopped in pick No. 50, with Tyler Booker worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick81 Rnd3 Bradyn Swinson
Somehow Bradyn Swinson was still sitting there in pick 81, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick118 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke in the Round 4 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick119 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at the 119th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
Pick153 Rnd5 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
No edge and no loss on Antwaun Powell-Ryland in the 153rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick166 Rnd5 Ty Robinson
They took Ty Robinson at par in slot 166, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick193 Rnd6 Raheim Sanders
They let Raheim Sanders come to them and pounced at No. 193. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick234 Rnd7 Ricky White III
The board had Ricky White III higher than the 234th pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
