Draft Grade — Bengals
Overall

FutureB
The Bengals cashed the board's mistake on Amos: A-. When a board-topper like Trey Amos slides to pick No. 80, you do not overthink it, and the Bengals did not.
They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Adding Jonathan Allen by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
Pick Analysis
Pick45
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren in the Round 2 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick49
Rnd2
Derrick Harmon
Derrick Harmon in Round 2, Pick 17 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick80
Rnd3
Trey Amos
Trey Amos at the 80th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick81
Rnd3
Donovan Jackson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Donovan Jackson in slot 81. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick119
Rnd4
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at the 119th overall pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick153
Rnd5
Jacob Parrish
Somehow Jacob Parrish was still sitting there in pick 153, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick201
Rnd6
Ollie Gordon II
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Ollie Gordon II in pick No. 201, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick231
Rnd7
Caleb Ransaw
Steal is underselling it; Caleb Ransaw at No. 231 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick253
Rnd7
Cam Horsley
Cam Horsley in pick No. 253 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
