The Bengals won the night they stopped Phillips from sliding. Grade: B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bengals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

They banked enough surplus on Phillips to cover a lot of smaller sins. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Bengals paired the rookies with proven help, Alvin Kamara leading the way.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
