Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bengals came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. They are betting Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Gould at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
