Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureA
The Commanders got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Commanders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

They will need Kitselman to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

On value alone, Igbinosun makes the weekend a net positive. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, offensive lineman very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
In pick No. 28 they get a three-down second-level presence. More want than need.
Pick38 Rnd2 LT Overton
A wild overpay on LT Overton in Round 2, Pick 6, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick65 Rnd3 Jake Golday
Fair-plus on Jake Golday, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick71 Rnd3 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at the Round 3 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick104 Rnd4 Treydan Stukes
Treydan Stukes slid further than he should have, and slot 104 is lovely value for the cornerback. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick141 Rnd5 Albert Regis
Albert Regis at pick 141 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick145 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun in the 145th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick185 Rnd6 Aaron Anderson
They robbed the room for Aaron Anderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick196 Rnd6 Miles Kitselman
Miles Kitselman at pick 196 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick223 Rnd7 Josh Cuevas
This one needs a full-page explanation: Josh Cuevas in slot 223, miles early. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
