The Bears went off the board in a big way for Collin Oliver, 87 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They banked enough surplus on Dike to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Ivan Pace Jr. pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
