Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall C-
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureC
The Ravens let King fall into their laps, and walked away with a C-.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Ravens, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

King falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Cohen pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The veteran additions, Saquon Barkley chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Troy Fautanu
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick36 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
No drama and no debate, Chop Robinson went about where he belonged in the 36th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick54 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
They paid sticker price for Chris Braswell in pick 54, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jonathon Brooks
Jonathon Brooks at slot 62 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick67 Rnd3 Kalen King
Kalen King in No. 67 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick126 Rnd4 James Williams
James Williams in pick No. 126 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick130 Rnd4 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe at the 130th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick132 Rnd4 Kris Abrams-Draine
A tidy bit of business in No. 132, where Kris Abrams-Draine graded well above the range. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick134 Rnd4 Javion Cohen
A reach on Javion Cohen in the Round 4 slot; the board had better options right there. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick167 Rnd5 Roger Rosengarten
The board had cheaper options than Roger Rosengarten at pick 167, and it noticed. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick220 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
De'Corian Clark in the 220th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
