The Seahawks finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-. The Seahawks lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.
Whatever Bo Nix becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
They are betting Powers-Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. It is not that Hicks is a bad player; it is that the Seahawks had louder needs to answer first.
The Phillips pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
